Cost of Living

Considering that Portsmouth is such a cosmopolitan city in a beautiful coastal location, and within easy reach of London, the cost of living is very cheap indeed.  In fact, the cost of accommodation is actually among the least expensive in the whole of the south of England.

Portsmouth is a compact city, meaning that students can walk almost anywhere in a short amount of time.  Therefore, you will not be needing to spend additional money on cars, taxis and buses.

As a result of this, students can expect to enjoy a high standard of living for a relatively low amount of money; considerably less, for example, than those who study in London.

It is difficult to say exactly how much extra money you would need in addition to your tuition fees but, depending on your standard of living, it is recommended to budget for around just £6,000 per year. This should be enough to pay for your accommodation, food, transport needs, mobile phone, internet, social life and anything else that you need to pay for.

It is this cheap cost of living that gives one more reason why studying at ICP and the University of Portsmouth is such a good opportunity.
